working for the unemployed

One very satisfied employer

Packit1Packit Packaging has become a loyal and entrenched partner to DreamWorker. It all began when Thabiso Ntobela was employed as a technician, back in 2010. Packit was so happy with his progress that when they needed drivers, a new receptionist, a stock room controller and a cleaner, they called DreamWorker again and again. Today a delighted Tera, Anele, Chantal, Fa-eez and Wiesa are all part of the Packit family! And what is even more exciting is that Packit is busy interviewing young candidates to come on board as apprentices/trainees and have asked DreamWorker to source young and enthusiastic candidates for them.

We asked MD Hugh Bosman why he enjoys the services of DreamWorker Recruiting can be extremely expensive. Dreamworker cuts out these costs while ensuring we get to see candidates who (a) want to work and (b) match our criteria. At the same time we are assisting people to find a job who may not even have known we are recruiting. We have a good working relationship with the Dreamworker staff and this helps when we are looking for our own staff.

Packit Packaging has taken their relationship with DreamWorker ONE step further, by becoming a monthly donor to the Link of Love job creation programme.

They have committed to funding ONE week of work for the unemployed every month, as their way of putting back into the community. As Hugh Bosman explains further “Dreamworker performs a valuable service to the jobless community. Packit is very happy to be supporting this organisation on a monthly basis through their Link of Love programme, in particular the “Parents Working for School Fees” initiative. With rising unemployment as one of SA’s biggest issues, it is inconceivable that the government does not do more to fund these types of organisations and a great pity that Dreamworker does not have branches elsewhere in the country.

Our association with Dreamworker fulfils two key objectives : (1) We are able to recruit suitable employees: and (2) Our Social Responsibility involvement is producing tangible results through employment opportunities for women and funding of their kids schooling.

Packit has certainly made their relationship with DreamWorker a “win win” package for all! Thank you.
